Emil Neufeld
CEO, TradeShows Plus!Emil Neufeld is the “business end” of TradeShows Plus! (TSP). Emil is responsible for creating measurement and quantification systems, lead management, and post-show analysis reports for TSP clients. He also supports clients through cost-saving accounting. One of his first business strategies was designed to make TSP solutions more cost-effective for our clients. In contrast to the mark-up approach adopted by many companies in the trade show and event industry, Emil developed a fee-for-service, consulting-based model for TSP. This strategy allows us to provide more predictable and competitive pricing to clients instead of hourly rates and traditional material and supply mark-ups all of which add up over time.
Emil applies his TSP experience to developing post show analysis. Most notably he was responsible for creating the E3 solution that automatically inputs, quantifies and compares the exhibitors to others in the survey model. In addition, it provides feedback on exhibiting effectiveness in three key areas so the company surveyed can make critical changes to their program. Emil made it possible to efficiently input and generate reports within days of information receipt. To this day, our exhibitors continue to receive a four-page report with photographs, charts and graphs, scoring in 21 areas, and recommendations to improve performance within days of completion of the E3 surveys.
Emil’s contribution is not surprising given his academic background and earlier business experience. He earned two undergraduate degrees, a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Psychology from Tufts University in Boston, MA. He also holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration (now the Tepper School of Business) in Pittsburgh, PA. Emil’s business experience includes 11 years with a major international consulting organization, now known as Accenture. His responsibilities included the planning design and implementation of information systems in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, financial services and the performing arts. Emil now divides his time between TSP and CIO and VP of a wholesale distribution business.
Emil is involved with TSP, planning business strategy, developing work methods and overseeing business administration of all contributors to client work. He also oversees development of electronic games for our clients and evaluating marketing strategies including how effectively these will promote our clients through the trade show and event venues.
